Building Blocks’ main mission is to support The Learning Skills Center. LSC is a not-for profit agency which provides a positive, nurturing environment for North Mississippi students of all abilities, backgrounds and ages. Programs offered at LSC:
Reading-individualized reading instructions using the Essential Learning Systems;
Mathematics-computer assisted instruction helps students visualize and internalize mathematical concepts.
ACT Preparation – familiarizes students with the content of the American College Test.
Language Arts Lab – provides individual or small group instruction in the area of grammar, mechanics, vocabulary development, composition, creative writing and literature.
Mathematics Lab – provides direct instruction for individual students in math, pre-algebra and algebra.
Dyslexia – The Lindamood Bell and Susan Barton programs.
